Costs vary hugely depending on size, complexity, materials and design, however our starting
price is around £25,000, and can be as much as £300,000 or more.
There is a lot to consider when planning a wine wall, therefore the best advice is get in touch with us early, to avoid missing anything that could be disappointing or costly for you.
- You may need planning permission from your local authority for an outdoor condenser unit, so it pays to check this in advance.
- Keep under-floor heating well clear (consider thermal breaks or at least a 400mm clearance. If possible separate the underfloor heating circuit next to the wine wall, so that this can be individually adjusted.
- Be aware of natural light especially south facing windows.
- Fireplaces and radiators should be kept well clear
- Weight – this can sometimes be overlooked, but keep in mind that 500 bottles of wine weigh about 500kg, plus the weight of the wine wall cabinet which could be significant, therefore ensure there is sufficient structural support under-floor.
- Any foreign heat source (e.g. hot water pipes, hot ducts) must be fully insulated/isolated from the climate controlled zone.

Our systems include:
- Split type air cooled
- Split type water cooled
- Ducted systems
- Room vented stand-alone systems
- Our unique custom-built wine wall evaporators which are designed to be more quiet, compact and reliable than off-the-shelf evaporators. They also create an even flow of cool air into the cabinet, thus avoiding hot spots.
Humidity between 60-75%
Avoiding exposure to natural light (note – we have solutions to address this for above ground solutions such as UV filters on glass).
Avoiding vibration
Please note, for wine rooms that are temperature controlled, there are critical steps that
need to be taken to ensure that the room is prepared properly, and that mechanical and
electrical services are in place.

No, with the correct planning we can create perfect cellaring conditions for your wine in virtually any space above or below ground. * see FAQ #3 for ideal conditions

Firstly we try to position the wine wall as far away from a window if feasible, especially avoiding any south facing windows with direct sunlight & heat. On top of this, if required we can install a UV film to either the wine wall glass, or your windows, which filters out 98% of UV light, but remains crystal clear.
For detailed planning and technical assistance contact us.
LENGTH - Our minimum width for a 2 door wine wall is 1.2 metres, and we can make the wine wall as long as your wall is, there is really no limit, however the average larger wine wall would be 4-6 metres in length.
DEPTH – Our minimum depth for a temperature controlled wine wall is 450mm, however with some designs we need to increase the depth to 600-800mm.
HEIGHT – Our maximum height is generally around 3.0m for a regular wine wall, however if you have a higher space, do get in touch.

No, in fact all wine types (red, white and sparkling), are recommended to be stored long
term at the same constant temperature between 11-15 degrees. Lifestyle choices in relation
to serving temperatures generally determine the best storage temperature for you.
